Get Involved
Overnight Camps
This faith-based, experiential, service & learning opportunity provides you and your group the opportunity to take action. With our camp experience you get involved in hands-on activities, and rescue and share good food with people in need.
Participants glean and distribute produce remaining in fields after harvest each morning and learn about the realities of hunger each evening.
Bible study and dynamic worship round out days of Christian community and service, providing a basis for ongoing commitment to ending hunger.
Harvest of Hope offers events for middle/high school students, intergenerational groups, and college-age students.
[Our scheduled HoH programs all offer an ecumenical Christian perspective on hunger. If you are from another faith tradition and would like to discuss a build-your-own event with your group leader based on your faith tradition, please check out our Build-Your-Own option and get in touch with Tresca McSwain.]
Summer – Youth Programs (Need to figure out how to make this an H2 header)
These 4 and 3-night events are designed for youth in Middle and High School. Groups of all sizes are welcome. Whether your group fits into one car or you need a bus, we can help get your entire group active in local missions to rescue and share good food.
We offer age-appropriate mission and education opportunities so that individuals can learn about the twin issues of food insecurity and food waste and immediately do something about them.
Fall – Intergenerational Retreats (Need to figure out how to make this an H2 header)
These shorter events are typically 2 nights, held on the weekends, to accommodate work schedules and busy times of the year.
Take time to unwind and recharge. Relax, knowing the event has been planned and you are simply there to worship, serve, and enjoy.
Find peace serving in a local hunger-relief mission while growing in knowledge and fellowshipping across generational divisions. (We require children to be at least 8 years old and have a parent/guardian attend.)
We would love for you to join us next Fall!
.
Spring Break – College Age (Need to figure out how to make this an H2 header)
These events are for college-aged young adults who want to visit Florida AND be a part of something meaningful over their Spring Break.
These events allow for deep discussion, peer relationships and networking between groups. Participants will also learn about hunger, food waste and taking action.
Whether it’s community service hours, honors college requirements or simply looking to spend Spring Break making a difference- young adults have a place at Harvest of Hope!
We would love for you to join us next Fall!

You’re more than welcome—you’re invited! Join us at a Harvest of Hope event in 2023! Sign up online while spots are available. If you don’t see a trip that fits your schedule, use the information request button to send a message or check out the Build-Your-Own-Trip option. Check back often as events are added throughout the year.
If you don’t see something that will work for your group, fill out the Build-Your-Own Interest form. This will begin the conversation with SoSA’s HoH director about creating a unique mission experience, customized for you and your group. (There are limited spots available for Build-Your-Own events each year. Scheduling depends on several factors including staff availability, farm/harvest calendars, and locations.)
